This book is a review of the history and personal clinical experiences of a Kabbalist dream interpreter. He wanted to document the processes of dream interpretation before the art was lost to the rationalists. Sigmund Freud Interpretation of Dreams is well known but he must have leaned heavily on the giants of literature and knowledge of the time, specifically Kabbalah that preceded him. So who know he to probably referenced this book. It was not available in translation until the early nineteenth century, and then in Yiddish only.
The translation is excellent with notes and explanations by the author.
